Grab N' Go Breakfast Ideas

Image
((This blog contains affiliate links to another website)) Sometimes I catch myself falling into a rut when it comes to breakfast....er...ALL meals. Before I know it - we are eating eggs every day for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and by the time supper rolls around - nothing is planned - and we tend to eat out or throw a pizza in the oven. I've been trying to be more intentional about using the food and produce that I have on hand at home - before we blow our budget and waist line and go out to eat! Here are some of my favorite breakfast ideas that may take a small prep- but all end up being simple grab-and-go meals that the whole family (yes, toddlers and husbands too) will enjoy! Breakfast Ideas Fruit - so simple. so delicious. Berries, bananas, melons, oranges.....be creative!  Fruit and Yogurt Parfait -  we love dairy free yogurt! I usually add 1/2 cup yogurt into a bowl, toss blueberries and strawberries in, and add coconut flakes, honey or maple syrup, hem

Blueberry Banana Super Muffins

Not only are these muffins: Gluten Free Dairy Free Grain Free But they are also DELICIOUS and they include a secret ingredient. Are you ready? They include  BANANA CREME BONE BROTH POWDER  (on sale NOW) I didn't tell my husband what was in them, but when he came home from work (yes, I made these in the afternoon) - he asked to try them! He then said "mm - these are so good! Are they even healthy?" Yes. Yes they are. I'm extremely careful of what my toddler eats. But I let him have some of these as well! All you'll need for ingredients are: 1 3/4cup Almond Flour ( I used this one) 3 Eggs 1/3 cup Honey 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 2 scoops Bone Broth Powder (I used  this one ) Coconut oil (I used  this organic, unrefined coconut oil ) 1/2tsp. Baking Soda a pinch of Sea Salt 1 cup fresh blueberries Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a bowl. In a separate bowl - combing honey, eggs, va

Gut Healing Soup (That ACTUALLY Tastes Delicious)

If you're anything like me, you maybe struggle from time to time to find FAST, EASY, NOURISHING recipes that the whole family will enjoy. Personally - I can eat something that doesn't taste that great if I know it has nutritional benefits. My toddler and husband? Not so much.. This recipe, however, was SO fast and easy - and the entire family scarfed it down. 16 month old, AND husband. I will list how to make this recipe step by step, and attach a link to everything I purchased. All you have to do is click the links, and it will bring you right there so that you can check it out for yourself! I mostly followed Dr. Axe's recipe from his book,  Bone Broth Breakthrough . I highly recommend this book. He mentions the healing powers of bone broth, TONS of recipes to make, as well as a few nutritional guides and challenges to try out! Definitely worth the money. I cooked this recipe in my  Instant Pot . If you don't have one yet - you quite honestly NEED one

Why You NEED Bulletproof Coffee

Image
Bulletproof coffee. Have you heard of it? I remember the first time I ever heard someone suggest I put butter in my coffee. And then blend it. Yes. You heard that correctly. BUTTER. Bleh. Butter isn't even good for you, right? WRONG. So wrong. I was so wrong for so long, and I didn't even know it. But here's the thing; Butter, grass-fed butter, totally rocks. It's full of healthy fats!!! Great for your teeth and body overall. Should you consume it in huge amounts? Probably not. Should you consume a teaspoon of it in your coffee? Definitely. Do I add more than a teaspoon into my coffee at times? Highly likely. Do I care? Nope. I'm going to give you my personal recipe at the end, but first - I'm going to tell you a secret. I sort of avoided fats my whole life because I was under the impression that eating fat (healthy fat) made you...well....fat. I didn't understand. Your body actually NEEDS fat. A few months ago, I totally embr

The Best Bed Ever

Image
Aright. This post might be completely boring to some of you but if ANY OF YOU are on the tireless (pun intended) search of a fabulous bed - look no further. You may or may not know that I love to research things. Every. Thing. Beds are no exception to this rule. We have been wanting a king bed for what feels like forever, but probably was more like - ever since our queen bed has been just a bit TOO snug with a toddler, dog, husband, and myself. I came across many different companies that used organic products. This was important to me. But then I ran into one of two things. Either they were EXTREMELY expensive, or they didn't have great reviews. A few companies even had terrible reviews AND they were expensive. Total bummer. But then, it happened. I came across a company called Tuft & Needle.  CLICK HERE TO SEE THE BED I PURCHASED This company is slightly rebellious (which I totally enjoy) and they are bucking the system by calling other companies out. They cl
